Another Candy Holder

This is a cute little candy holder that I made.  It is very similar to the one that someone made at Regionals in Phoenix.  I did not go, but I saw it on Creations by Patti  http://creationsbypatti.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2010-01-22T01%3A00%3A00-08%3A00&max-results=5

Side view. There is a York Peppermint Patty inside.

This is the inside view.  The top part stays down because of the ribbon and you slide the front underneath the top.    Here are the dimensions:

Peppermint patty holder
Real Red  3" x 8 1/4", score @  1, 4 3/8, 4 ¾  & 5 1/8
A piece of Chocolate chip  3 x ¾” and scallop that piece
   Use a piece of DSP that is ¾” x 2 ¾”
Cut a piece of very vanilla ¼” grosgrain ribbon 10” long

Stamp Camp Projects

These were all the projects we made at my recent stamp camp. I think everyone really enjoyed it.  It was a Valentine/Easter stamp camp.  I know it's a little early for Easter, but I just don't have time in my schedule to have an Easter camp, so I combined both of them in January.  This gives my customers plenty of time to order their supplies and get ready for both holidays.

This was a framed art that I made as a door prize for my stamp camp.  I just love these colors!!!  I really enjoyed making this and am going to offer a class on it.  This is for my local stampers only.  If you are interested in attending email me at jnrsjones@cox.net. Cost is only $10 and we will make this one for Valentines Day and another insert for Spring.  So you will get one Frame w/2 inserts to put in, so that after Valentines Day you can change it out to the spring one.  Class is limited to 10 people but will be offered several different days.  When you email me I will give you the details.

Another Peppermint Patty Treat

I told you I like these little treats.  Today I had my stamp camp. Boy were we busy!!  We made 7 projects.  It was only suppose to be 5, but I could  not stop making all these cute little projects I keep seeing out there!!  I think everyone really enjoyed themselves.  Anyway, back to these treats.  I made some for Christmas, Valentines and now Easter!!  I can't stop making them.  You use a Wilton Pretzel bag, Pearson's Mint Patties (York patties are now square..well the wrappers are square) and then you use the scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch and 1 1/4 circle punch.  They are so simple to make.  Enjoy.

I'm having a stamp camp today and we are making some, but they are Easter ones. I will be posting those tomorrow!!

Another Easel Desk Set

This is another easel desk set that I made. I'm going to have a class on this one. Well maybe not this exact one, but a class making the easel desk set using some other colors. Anyone interested? Currently this will be for local stampers only. I will see what kind of response I get and decide if I want to offer it as a class to go. If you are interested email me. The class will be $10.00 and will also include 1 card to match the easel box. Would make a great gift!! Classes will be held on: Monday, Feb 1, 2010 at 10:00 am or Thursday Feb 4, 2010 at 7:00 pm

This is a card made by one of my sideline, LuAnn Reed. We were in a card swap with our upline and her downline and this is the card that LuAnn made. Didn't she do a great job!! We had some really nice cards in the swap.

One of my downline, Patty Shipley, made this adorable little box. She used a pencil box and filled it with kleenex, vitamin C, cough drops, things you would need for a cold. I think she did an awesome job with this!! She does so much for all of us in the Hostess Club. She made each one of us one, not to mention like 2 or 3 other gifts and always makes awesome food!! She is having surgery today, so please keep her in your prayers!!

WHERE DID THE WEEK GO??

Sorry to all my fans!! hahaha ...what do I have 9 followers (and am thankful to all of you!!)? Anyway, I don't know where the week went? I did have a lot going on this week, but I am sorry for not posting.

I do have a few projects done and will be posting them soon. I think with the Stampin' Connection (those that are demonstrators I'll be happy to be your friend), getting my ribbon in for the ribbon share, trying make projects for a stamp camp, finishing up 17 card fronts for a swap, buying material and starting to make a purse I have just been overwhelmed. I have all my material cut out and now I have to sew it together. Oh and I am working out in the mornings, well 3 x a week. I also start my volunteer job tomorrow!! I guess I could go on and on, but there really is no excuse for not posting I guess. I'll try to do better. Don't give up on me...I"ll be back posting next week if not sooner. Have a great weekend!!

Another gift

This was the desk set I made. It has a calendar and a drawer to put things in. This is the same pattern as the one I made yesterday, just different colors and stamp set.
This was another birthday gift I made. This one was for my friend Sam. She REALLY likes coffee. This is not a SU stamp set, but the cardstock is. I really think SU should have a coffee stamp set, but I guess they don't ask me what I think. So, I did use one stamp from SU that had a coffee cup. Anyway, her blog is done in these colors so I figured she would like these colors.

Birthday Gifts

On Sunday, several friends got together for lunch, stamping and celebrating our friends birthdays. We had 3 birthdays to celebrate!!

I made this framed art to go with the desk set. I really like how it came out.

Anyway, we had a blast!! We had salad and everyone brought different ingredients to put in the salad. That is what makes it soooo good!! You know how when you made a salad at home and it just never taste as good as when you eat it somewhere else. Well this was one of those kinds of salad...all I can say is YUM-O!!! We had chips and dips and cheeses to go on the side, but OMG the salad was sooo good. Ok, I think you got the idea. Anyway, we are all stampers so we usually make the gifts and here are the gifts that I made.

This was a Easel card basically on a box. It's a desk set with a calendar. It was not that hard to make, though I messed up several times...just not scoring correctly, but for the most part it was easy. I did my handle different from the instructions that I got, but I liked that you could pull on the drawer with a handle instead of a brad.

Here is one card I made using the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set #118598. I really like this new stamp set as well as EVERYTHING in the new mini occasions catalog!! It's gonna be an expensive few months with me wanting to buy it all. I must control myself!! I keep telling myself that, I'll let you know if it works or if I go broke. See why I need a part time job!!

Christmas Cookbook Class

This is one of my cookbook classes that I had. We did a recipe exchange and then I did these pages for each person. This was the 2nd cookbook class that I had and am planning on doing another one. The first one was a little of everything and this was just a christmas cookie one. We did a cookie exchange with it and I think everyone really liked it. My next one will be a Crock Pot and Casserole one. I can't wait. These girls have some awesome recipes. I like quick and easy and most of them are!!

This was one of the inside pages. I paper pieced the Santa chef and even put him together for everyone. They just had to glue the page together.

This was the front of the recipe book.

Looking for ideas for my next one. It is going to be a Navy cover.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

These are a few pictures from our trip. We really did not take many pictures at all. My kids DO NOT like taking pictures and complain every time I ask them to. So, I took what I could when I could and these were probably the best ones. We were at Disney for 5 days and these are all the pictures I got. I guess I'm lucky. What do you expect from a 17 and 20 year old?

Oh and yea, I do have a husband. You never see pictures of him cuz he is the one usually taking them!!

We went to Magic Kingdom twice because it is MY Favorite park. I was really disappointed that it was NOT decorated more. It looks decorated here, but this was it. I thought the whole park would be decorated, but nope!! We still enjoyed it.

Yea, I'm pretty short. My husand is 6'2 and both my kids are taller than me!!
