Wish Big Candy Wrapper Swap

This was one of my candy swaps that I made for a Leadership swap that I was in.  I used the Sale-a-bration Designer Paper as inspiration for my colors on this swap.  I love making 3-D projects and I have participated in this swap for 3 years now.  Thanks Angie for putting this organized swap together.

Valentine Treat

I made these Valentine Treats for my girlfriends that I stamp with.

This is a close up of one of the treats.  I used crumb cake and real red card stock, heart punch, bitty banner framelits, embossing folder and the scallop edge border punch.  I just wrapped it around the Ghiradelli candy.

Designer Builder Brad Keychain

I still get together with a group of demonstrators every other Friday to stamp.  I've been doing this for about 4 years. This past Firday we celebrated Lorrie's birthday.  We each made something for the Mexican theme lunch.  The food was very good..enchiladas, rice, cheese dip, homemade salsa, fruit salad and the best chocolate chip cookies!  When we celebrate birthdays we each usually make a gift from Stampin' Up! Product.  This was my gift to her.  I covered a cigar tin with the Natural Composition Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I used the new Pink Pirouette/Rose Red Two Tone Ribbon as a belly band.  It looks huge in this picture, but it looked nice, well I thought it did.

Inside the tin was a key chain that I made for her.

I used a Designer Builder Brad and the More Amore Speciality Paper in the center.  I clipped the backs off and then added a small piece of cardstock on the back just so it looked finished.  I did not even think to take a picture of the back.  I am lucky to have remembered to even take a picture at all!  I usually forget.  Something I need to get better at and am trying!!  It was a quick easy gift.

Cold Day, Snow Day makes for a Great Stamping Day!

It snowed here Friday, making the roads a disaster.  So our hostess club that was scheduled for this Saturday was postponed until next weekend.  This is looking out our front door.

This is out our back door. I know, not a lot of snow for you Northern people, but here in Virginia, it's enough to close everything down. We don't get snow that often.

So, what do you do when it snows??  You stamp!!! Here is something that I made.  Found the test tube holder tutorial here.
The only thing I did different was that i used 12x12 paper because I wanted the back of the base to be a little higher than the tutorial.

I used Real Red 12x12 cardstock and More Amore Design Series Paper in Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog.  Love that paper!!

Leadership Notebooks

Don't you just love those letters that spell out Notes?  They are the Notable Alphabet #126357 (c) #126355 (w)in the Stampin' Up! catalog on page 144.  I LOVE THEM!!

I know I am stuck on Leadership projects and swaps, but I want to post everything I made.  This was the Notebook I made for all my roommates.  This happens to be mine because I forgot to take a picture of all of them.  I made 7 of them!  I hate when I do that.  I make a ton of things and half the time I don't take pictures.

I covered a 5x7 pad of paper with pool party paper and then used the Sale-a-bration paper Sycamore Street #127540 FREE! with a $50 order (before s/h and tax).  Email me: jnrsjones@cox.net if you would like to place an order or go online to www.stampinup.com and you can place an order there and use my name Norma Jones as your demonstrator.

Our New House

Just thought I would share a picture of our new house. We will be moving soon and this is our new house.

To my friends and customers you are all aware of the changes that will be taking place soon.  To my blogger friends and readers, my husband will be transferring in the summer.  We have made the decision to purchase our retirement house now.   The timing was just right for this house, and we will live apart while he is at his last duty station.  Hard to believe that he will finally be retiring from the Navy in the near future.  I am getting excited about moving, but it will be hard to leave all my dear friends and customers.  I guess they will just have to come visit me!

This move will be hard for me Stampin' wise.  I will have to start basically all over with customers and meeting new people.  It will already be a struggle living apart from my husband.  I don't know how people do it with stampin' and moving?    How do I start my business all over again?  Meet new people, learn the area and try and hold parties especially when our HOA is so strict with their rules!    Anyone have any suggestions?

Swaps and Another Winner at Leadership!

WARNING:  LONG HEARTFELT POST!!

I made a few gifts for some fellow Inky Angels and friends that I have made attending Leadership.  I can say that I have made some GREAT friends being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  Each year I attend Leadership I meet new people and they become those friends that you do not keep in touch with too often, but every Leadership you can't wait to see them to say hi and see how their family and life is going.

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is more than selling stamps or having parties.  It is meeting the Best, Friendliest life long friends you will ever have.  I have to say Thank You to Stampin' Up! because without this business I would never have traveled to the places I have been or met the incredible people I have met!  It is a wonderful job, organization and really the best therapy that I have ever had.  Stamping relaxes me and brings me together with people that love doing what I am doing.  I love sharing what I do, but there is just not enough time in the day or week to share and do everything I would like to do.  Thank you to all my friends and customers who have made me who I am in Stampin' Up!

Boy, I did not mean to go on like that, but it is how I feel and I was going to delete it after I wrote it, but thought, hey, this is how I feel and I am sure alot of you feel, so why not say it and leave it.  All that from this one little picture.  I won't apologize. But I  know it was long and quite different from my regular post.

One of my card swaps using the new More Amore Specialty Designer Paper #129309 for $12.95 in the Spring Catalog. You will LOVE it!!

My friend and roommate, Liz Velasquez (see I do know what your last name is Liz!) won the Oh Whale! stamp set #129132 (clear) $16.95 and the Happy Whale Clearlits Die #129403 $7.50.  Congratulations Liz!! Now show me some projects!!  This was at our pajama party night!

I kid with Liz about her last name because I made all my roommates some gifts with their names on them.  I don't know why...we have been friends for like 3 years and I misspelled her last name on both gifts.  I think I was just in a hurry.  I am so sorry and working on new ones. You will have them at our swap on Monday!

Hey, on another note. Funny how the person in the background is smiling.  I guess they knew they were going to be in the background!!  Thanks for smiling!

Leadership Swaps and Boards

This was one of my swaps for Leadership.  I saw a cute card made just like this, but using a stamp set - I think.  Patty, had a picture of it and I thought....I can make that using Stampin' Up! punches.  So using oval punches and yes some of them are retired, I made this cute little bunny peeking out from the corner.  I put her on an old Altoid tin.

Here is another version, slightly larger than the first one.  This one is on a 4x4 coaster.  I used the new Ovals Collection Framelits Die from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog to make the bunny.  It is #129381 for $26.95.  I also used the Decorative Label punch #120907 for 16.95 for the Happy Easter from the Wacky Wishes that is a Hostess Only set.  Love that set!!  I put a magnet on the back.  Voila, a cute little gift.  Love it!

These next few pictures are some from the Patterned Occasions Stamp Set #129621 from the
Sale-a-bration Flyer.  I just thought they were so cute and something I might be able to duplicate.

I am really liking the colors AND this stamp set that I will be able to get for FREE because I know I want more than $50 worth of product.  During Sale-a-bration you get a FREE product with every $50 you spend (before s/h and tax). Love! Love! Love! this time of the Year!!  New Spring Catalog and then the opportunity to get FREE product!!  It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!

Email me jnrsjones@cox.net if you would like to place an order, host a party, become a demonstrator or just find out about how you can earn FREE product!!

Leadership Demonstrations and Swaps

Isn't this card just gorgeous?  This was one of the demonstrations that Stampin' Up! had set up in the Gathering Place.  They were showing how to use the new Borders Scoring Plate in the Spring Catalog.  It also uses Secret Garden Bundle that I thought I did not have to have until I saw all the beautiful cards made from it.  Now it is on my list!

The Artisan Embellishments Kit from the Spring Catalog was also being demonstrated. So many ideas from just this little kit.

One of my swaps for Leadership...a small post it note holder.  It is an easel style holder.  My downline, Ginger Riley, had made one for us and I just cased it with the new Designer Paper Sycamore Street from the Sale-a-bration flyer. Thanks Ginger for the great idea!  The Designer paper is just one of the products you can get for FREE with a $50.00 order.  Email me to find out how.  jnrsjones@cox.net

I just LOVE the new Hearts A Flutter Bundle in the Spring Catalog.  This card uses one of the dies and stamps to make this cute little owl. I also used the owl punch and a heart for his wings.  The background is the new Honeycomb Embossing Folder that is also in the Spring Catalog.

There are so many new stamps and accessories you just might want to have a party!  Remember this is Sale-a-bration time and you can earn FREE products for every $50.00 you spend (before s/h and tax).  Email me if you are in the Hampton Roads Area and would like to book a party!  jnrsjones@cox.net

Boards at Stampin' Up! Leadership Orlando, FL

Two of my downline, Alice and Cathy on the right and friends, Toka and Liz on the left.  We all roomed together at my timeshare and attended Stampin' Up! Leadership together in Orlando, Florida.  We had such a great time together.  Thanks ladies for making my Leadership so memorable! Those great late nights will not be forgotten anytime soon!!

Below are a few more pictures of boards at Leadership.  Most of these boards are cards that attendees turned in to be displayed.  Stampin' Up! has some very talented people.

The one below was a Stampin' Up! display.

Everyone was trying to take pictures.  So instead of taking the whole board I took sections because I could take them w/o getting someones head or body in the picture.

I will not post all the boards because there would be tons of pictures.  Instead I just chose a few that I would show.

7 Foreign Exchange Students 3 Moms & 1 Friend

That is what I had at a Christmas card class.  One of the "Moms" is a friend of mine and she was in charge of the activity for November. So, We made cards!!
They did a great job for never having stamped before.  They were very creative and not intimated to do their own thing and make their cards their.
I believe this the is best group of people I have had!  For never stamping they listened and followed directions so well.  We were a little crowded, but they all wanted to stay in one room, so we squeezed everyone around the table.
We even had one boy to stamp with us.  He was probably the most meticulous one.  Made sure everything was just right...Loved it!!
The cards we made were cased from either Pinterest or Stampin' Connection.  I had the name of the people for the class so they would know I did not come up with the ideas on my own, but I lost they by the time I got around to the post.  So, if they are you creations, please let me know and I will be glad to give you full credit.
