This was a Christmas gift I made using the Dasher and 24-7 Friend Stamp Sets. You can't tell from the picture, but the antlers are More Mustard and have dazzling diamonds on them!!

I made this candy holder using some new DSP and a new stamp set. I made a smaller version of this with the snowman and kiwi kiss holder. This one was made bigger to hold a full size candy bar. I just LOVE our new Sending Love DSP #117153 that is in SU new Occasions mini catalog.

I also used Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla Cardstock.

I'm BACK!!

Hello Everyone!! I'm back from vacation, but am so sick. I was sick the entire time we were in Florida, but kept pushing cuz you go to Disney World whether you are sick or well!!! I was not that sick at the time, just a terrible cough that kept getting worse and led to an asthma attack that I had NEVER had before. What a scare that was! I have a rescue inhaler cuz I was told last year I had asthma, but had never had to use it til that night. I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. Luckily it worked and I was probably more panicked than I was sick.

We got home on Monday, only 11 hours to drive from Orlando to home, my sister said we were like a pit crew coming back. My son would fill up, Sarah and I would go to the bathroom and then I would finish filling up and off we would go. The kids could not wait to get home to see their friends, cuz you know family is nothing to them right now!! We did not even stop to EAT!! We drove through a Sonic cuz they both wanted cherry limeades. And we ate as we drove. I drove for 9 hours feeling sick, but just wanting to get home and then Rob drove the last 2 hours. We were very lucky, hardly any traffic (all going South) and it was just a nice drive.

I went to the doctor the next day and I have a terrible sinus infection and upper respiratory infection and am on antibiotics. Can't wait for them to kick in!!

Going to see the broadway show Legally Blonde tonight, we have season tickets, so don't want to miss that!! We are suppose to wear pink, there is a group of like 16 of us that go and all I can think is that I want to rest, but I will be a trooper and look for something pink and hopefully not cough during the show!

Tomorrow I'm hoping the meds will have fully kicked in and I can get to stamping. I have new goodies that I can't wait to play with. I have 2 hostess clubs meeting soon and need to make some projects for that. I plan on having a few classes and maybe start looking for a part time job.

Ok, I've rambled on enough. I will put something Stampin' soon on my blog.

Away on Vacation

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted yall to know that I will be away from my blog for a couple of days. We are visiting Mickey for Christmas and I didn't bring my computer with me. I'm borrowing my son's, but his computer is different than mine and I can't upload any pictures. As soon as I get home I will have some picturs to upload.

This card was made by Sherry Collett, one of my downline. She used the #113992 Tea Party DSP for this card.

Birthday Easel Card

This cute birthday card was made by Lynne Uzzell. She made an easel card and used the #111618 Crazy for Cupcakes Stamp set. Didn't she do a great job!! I love the color combination that she used for this card!

Tag Holder

Here's a cute little tag holder that was made by Pam Snider. She used the SU Table Setting #116819 sizzix die. She also used the snowflake punch #116628, real red 1/2" striped grosgrain ribbon #110714 and the Merry Moments DSP #115672. Didn't she do a great job?

These girls really came up with some cute simple projects. I told them their projects should only take 15 mins max. because we had like 16 projects to make. I think they all accomplished that with their projects. Now it might have taken some ladies longer to make them because of all the talking, laughing, and carrying on they did, but isn't that what a fun Stampin' Up! party is all about?!!!

Shoe Box Swap

I'm going to post a few of the shoebox swaps that we did at my hostess "thank you" party. All the girls did a fantastic job. I did not get pictures of all of them. I will put some of the ones I did get pictures of.

This little cute mouse was made by Patty Shipley, one of my downline. Isn't it just the cutest little thing. It was put on a triangle box with 3 candy kisses inside.

Packaged Scallop Candy

These are peppermint patties (not the York brand) that have the scallop punch on top and bottom and then decorated. I put them in a pretzel rod bag. I got the idea from Inking Idaho.

3x3 card holder box

This was a little box just like the Tree one I made a few post ago. I just put a snowman on the cover and added 3x3 snowman cards.

SNOWMAN CANDY HOLDER

I made 15 of these for my Hostess Club party. It is a piece of 5 x 51/2 piece of cardstock. You fold it in half at 2 3/4 on the 5 1/2 side. Cut down the center (the fold) 1 1/2 inches to fold down the flap down. I took my eyelet border punch and punched the flap. I used the Sweet Season (#116471) stamp set and hand colored each word with a marker. I used sticky tape to glue the bottom and the side shut and put the ribbon around the top to keep the flap down. Inserted the candy and TA DA instant candy holder!!!
This is the candy that is inside the candy holder. You can use any kind of candy bar, but I saw these at Walgreens and just had to have them. I ended up buying like 30 of them so that I could make for several different parties I am going to. The first party is my Hostess Club Thank You party and then I am making them for my Bunco group and last for my Wednesday Stamp Group.

Here are all the candy holders. This is another gift that I gave to my hostess club. It was a cute little candy holder. I used retired SU paper to make this project.

Santa Boxes

Here are the Santa boxes I made for my hostess thank you party. I gave each girl one. I put several different pieces of hardware in each box. This was a very easy box to make. I took a piece of 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 real red card stock and scored it one inch on each side of the 5 1/2" side. Then I turned it on the 8 1/2 inch side and scored it at 1", 3 3/4", 4 3/4" and 7 1/2". I cut my slits and glued it together. I used the 1/2" circle punch and only pushed it in half way to make the half circle tab on the side. This makes it easier to open the box. I will try to post a template tomorrow.

Hostess "Thank You" Party

Here are a few of my hostesses making some of the shoebox swaps. I had 3 tables set up and we had about 16 shoebox swaps. They were here from 10:00am til almost 4:00pm. We had some awesome projects that I will try and post later. I know that I have talked so much about all my wonderful hostesses that I thought I would share a few pictures of them. Unfortunately I guess I was distracted and did not get a whole group of ladies pictures. Sorry. I feel it was a successful party!!
This party was for my hostesses and they gave ME a huge box filled with lots of goodies including tons of SU cardstock!! It had about 8 packs 8 1/2 x 11 assorted colors of cardstock and about 11 packs of 12x12 assorted color packs of cardstock. WOWZER!!! Then I a got another box full of sticky tape, adhesive refills and liquid glue. Other items in my box were socks because my feet are always cold!! I do NOT like cold weather. There was a pampered chef turnabout carrousel which I could REALLY use and a nice package of kitchen towels. The party was so much fun!!
Here are some more door prizes for my Hostess Thank You Party. This is retired Stampin' Up cardstock and another company's designer paper. There are 2 boxes, I just took a picture of them on top of each other. I will be putting a gift inside. I was busy trying to make door prizes so that everyone would get one.

Saturday, December 12, 2009

Here are two of my door prize boxes. I'm still working on them, so they are just the boxes w/o the prize!! I got the box from Stampin' Up! website. I just did not add all the dividers. I used the Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper from the Holiday mini catalog. I used Kraft paper on one box and whisper white on the other.

Here's another project we will be making at my Hostess Thank You party. Funny I don't think any of my girls look at my blog, so they won't even know about this until they come on Saturday. Anyway, it's a cute note holder box that I got from Teri's blog. She gives directions on how to make it on her blog. You can put little 3x3 cards in it or candy. I just thought it was cute box.

Just in case you have not noticed I LOVE boxes!!!

I hope the girls enjoy making this. I have several projects planned for them and then we are doing a shoebox swap, eating lunch, having door prizes and then I'm giving them all gifts. How can I not?? These clubs are the most WONDERFUL group of ladies!!! They buy from me all year long and come to all of my classes and workshops. A few of them are even my downline and still are members of my clubs!! So, they deserve a day of receiving instead of buying!!!

Christmas Moose Crunch

This is what my herd of moose look like before making them into a topper for Christmas Moose Crunch.
This is one of the gifts I am giving my hostess at my hostess club "Thank you" party. The crunch is very easy to make. Since I love Harry & David's Moose Munch I thought I would try to make some so it would be a more reasonable gift since I am making it for 20 people.

So here is my version of the munch. I bought Crunch and Munch and opened the bag. I heated up some white chocolate chips in the microwave on defrost for about 3 mins. Sitrred it and then drizzled it all over the Crunch and Munch. Next I heated the red chocolate just like the white chocolate and did the exact same thing. While the chocolate was still soft I crushed up some peppermint candy and sprinkled it on top of the chocolate. I let it cool and then I broke it up and put in SU's small cellophane bags #103104 (50 for only $4.95).

Contact me if you would like to place an order.
Here is a close up of just one moose that I saw on this website. I just made the head because as you can see in the other picture I put the moose's head on a topper of Christmas Moose Crunch that I made. He was easy to make, but I did have to make 20 of them, so it took me a few hours.

Tiles

Here are 2 different type of tiles I made, but used similar techniques. I got the idea from Kimberly Van Diepen's blog She has directions on there as to how to make these. Basically you use craft ink, glassy glaze enamel, and bake them at 350 degrees for 10 mins. It's really easy!! We will be making something similar to this at my Hostess Thank You party I'm giving my hostess club groups.

This is a project that my upline, Colleen, had for us to do at her downline meeting. It was really a cute idea. She had all of it punched for us and all we had to do was stamp the greeting and put it together. Isn't it a cute idea??

Here's a picture of my daughter, Sarah and her friends on Senior Night. My daughter Sarah is in the middle and her friend on the left is Sarah and the one on the right is Melissa. I cannot believe that this is Sarah's senior year and she will be going away to college next year!!
I received a card very similar to this as a swap at convention. I think the only difference was that she had ribbon around the bottom of the cupcake. I made this for my stamp clubs to copy. I gave the person credit at my clubs, but I think someone accidentally took hers and now I don't have her name.
This is the inside of the cupcake card that holds the gift card. I think anyone would love to receive this as gift!!

Here's another ornament I made, but did not use for my ornament exchange. Again, once it was done I thought he penguin was way too big. Again, I found this penguin on a blog, but don't know which one. I promise to get better so I can give the people credit for their work. I used the circle globe on Stampin' Up! website, but just made it like an ornament instead of a card.

Saturday, December 5, 2009

I saw an ornament similar to this one on another blog. I have got to get better about remembering who's blog I see things on. Her ornament was a little different, but I pretty much cased it. I did not like mine when it was done. I thought my bird was way too big.

I was trying to make an ornament for an ornament exchange I was participating. I made several different ones before I decided on the one w/the Santa punch like the easel card, but made on a scallop circle. You cannot tell from the picture, but it was sprayed with the shimmer paints and looked really sparkly.

Here is one of my cards that I made for my Stamp a Stack I had last month. I just LOVE this Santa Punch art. I cannot remember who made it, but it was on the USTAMP group for the holiday. She had it on a block, but I made in on an Easel Card. I have made him on a box, an ornament and this card. He's made using punches and cutting strips of paper. Since this is not my original idea, I don't think I can post how I made him.

Here is a box I made that is not Christmas!! I'm really into Christmas projects right now, but I thought I would share something that is NOT Christmas. I made the "babe" after I saw it on http://blinkthinkink.blogspot.com/2009/09/body-building-tutorial-for-butterfly.html
I thought she was so cute I made 12 of them for my Bunco group. I used the Sizzix #2 die to make the box and put Dove candy (yummy!!) inside. The "babes" had different color hair, like blonde, brown and black, so the bunco gals got to choose which one they wanted. I think they really enjoyed getting them as a gift.
