Graduation Favors

These are some favors that I made for Sarah's graduation party.  The grad caps were made using a rolo candy and a 1 1/2 glorious green square with a brad and a piece of gold floss (her school colors).  The box is made with our #114890 Matchbox Bigz xl sizzix die.  I used a piece of Crushed curry polka dot ribbon as a belly band and then an old stamp set that had a grad cap in it and Curly label #119851 to punch it out.  I put 2 Hershey miniature candies inside wrapped in DSP with Thanks on it.

I decorated some glass vases with her school colors in ribbon and used the owl from the graduate stamp set we have in the mini catalog.  I filled the vases with candy and had like a mini candy bar.

This was also the table that had all the food on it and then dessert.   The kids loved the candy bar!!

Here is another card I cased from Zindorf's blog here.
Of course I have not taken any of her classes and I don't do her techniques justice, but I enjoy trying.  ***Michelle Zindorf*** is coming to VA Beach Feb 12 & 13.  If you are interested in her class you should go to her website.  Classes fill quickly so sign up NOW!

Scrapbook Page

This was the scrapbook page that everyone made at the Hawaiian Luau Stamp Camp.  I gave them the material and they could make it anyway they wanted.  There were a few variations, but wouldn't you know...I did not take any pictures!!

Gifts for the Stamp Camp Attendees

I made these gifts for each of my stamp camp attendees.  I know I found the candy in the plastic bag from Monika Davis and the box was from Jane Giggy.  She was nice enough to send me her dimensions which I tweaked just a hair to make it work for what I needed.

Here is what is inside the box.  I used this flower from an old Stampin' Up! stamp set called Do the Hula.  I stamped and then cut each one out twice.  Glued them to together and added crystal effect on top.  I put a a pin on the back so they can wear it.

Build a Bear hawaiian style

I made this box and needed to put something on it.  Well you know I've been in the Luau mode, so here's our cute little Build A Bear dressed for a Hawaiian luau.  I know I need to make her face a little different, but I think she is cute.  The box is big enough to hold cookies are something bigger than just candy.  It would take a lot of candy to fill this box.  This is one of the stamp camp projects that everyone made.

Tropical Box with cards

This is a box that I made....cannot even remember where I got the directions for this box because I had it for some time.  But it holds 4.25x5.5 cards with envelopes.  I did use a retired stamp set, but since this is a door prize, it does not have to be current stamp sets.  I love anything tropical or hawaiian so I usually never get rid of these stamp sets.

These are two of the cards that I made to put in the Tropical Box.  They are all occasion type cards.

Here are the other 2 cards that go inside the Tropical Box.  I figured this would make a nice door prize for someone to win.  Hope they think so too!!

Tropical Can with Coasters

My friend, Darnell, brought me some of these empty cans and asked if I could do anything with them?  I said I'll see.  Well I came up with some coasters to go inside.  Now, the can can hold alot more than 4 coasters, but I just made 4 to go inside.  I am using this as one of my door prizes for my Luau Stamp Camp this Saturday.

This is the top of the can.  I decorated it all the same.  Made it easier for me. I left the red around the can, but maybe I should of put ribbon or something, but am kinda pressed for time.

These are the coasters that are inside the can.  I tried doing a  "Zindorf's" style coaster.  They were fairly easy to make.  I used round coasters used ink spots and dragged them directly onto the coaster starting with So Saffron at the bottom for sand, then bashful blue and last brocade blue.  I put a small circle down first so that it left the moon or sun imprint on the coaster.  Lastly I used modge podge to cover them so they really could be used as coasters.  Well I hope they can.

Here is just one of the coasters.  I used the Itty Bittys (cannot believe those are retiring...if you don't have them, you better get them!! because they make wonderful sand, fillers and such).  Hope you like this project and the person that wins them enjoys them!!

Cheep Talk Picture Frame

This is a picture frame that my friend, Darnell, made at my house the other night.  She needed a gift for a friend of hers that is leaving and she came over to work on something and this is what she came up with.  Isn't it cute?!!   It looks better IRL because you can see all the dimensions and depth of the birds.
