Lorrie's Card

This is the card that Lorrie Reid made for our shoebox swap.  I then Cased it and made it for my hostess club this Saturday.  Someone was asking me how to make the flower that was not in the hostess club, so I posted it on m Facebook and I will post it here.  I took several pictures because I don't know how to even begin making video tutorials.  So, sorry for all the pictures, but maybe the pictures will be better than me just trying to "tell" you how to do it.

Start with these circles. Now you can use fewer or more, bigger and smaller circles, but these worked great for this card.  If you click on the picture you should be able to see the amount and which circle punch to use.

Next, put them together starting from largest to smallest.  The smallest is on top.  I altered the colors just so you can see the different circle.  Usually I use the same side of DSP for the whole flower.

Next, Start to crumble each circle.  Now some tutorials may say to crumble first and then put them in order add the brad and crumble the circles again, but I just figured do it this way and it's one less step.  Now, I liked crumbling the circles, but some of my customers said it was hard or difficult.

Ok, so now each layer is going to get crumbled...I think you get the idea.  I don't need to post each step..right??  Do this to all the layers.

This is what the last one looks like. Sorry for the blurry picture.  I guess my hand shook.  Anyway, I think you get the idea.

Lastly, you get the circles and begin to open them just a little.  You can even crumble them more if you don't like the look or want them more worn looking.   I was happy with this one.  And that is it!!  Hope this was helpful for you.  I'm sure there are video tutorials out there and maybe even better pictures of what I did, but this is my version and I hope it helps you in making your own paper flowers.  Thanks for looking.
