3x3 Birthday Card Tutorial

This is the best I could do on making a tutorial for this card.

I was asked by several people on how to make it, so I thought I would try a my way tutorial.

You will need any DSP (scraps work great for this little card).  I used Everyday Enchantment from Sale-a-bration.  The strips are
3 3/4" x 3/4", 3 1/2" x 3/4", and 3" x 3/4".  The card is 6x3 piece of crumb cake cardstock scored at 3".  You will also need strips from coordinating DSP for the scallops.  Those are strips are 3 1/4" x 3/4", 3" x 3/4" and 2 1/2" x 3/4".  When you punch them, they will be smaller.  Of course, you could make a regular size card and make everything bigger.

Score the longer strips at 1/4" on each end.  You will attach them to the card using the scored ends.  Using the scallop edge punch, you will punch the shorter strips.

Glue the scallops strips onto the strips that are scored.

Start applying your strips onto the card.  You will add glue to the ends (remember you scored them at 1/4") and bow them out as you place them on the card.

Here are some different views of the card so you can see how I attached the strips.  You start with the one on the bottom, when you go to attach the next one, you place it so it is just inside of the first one.

This is the finished card.  You can add the banner on the top or leave it as is.  I added candles from the cupcake punch to the top of the cake.  The only reason I added a banner to my first one was because I stamped something on the top and did not like it. So I covered it with the banner.

Hope this was easy to understand.  If you have anymore questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Would love to see what you have created.

Happy Stamping!
